Sharon O'Rourke is a graduate of Frostburg State University and the University of Maryland, College Park. She is a veteran elementary instrumental music teacher for the Montgomery County Public School System in Maryland where she teaches both beginning band and strings. Sharon began composing music to meet the needs of her own students which is music that is not only rewarding and fun to play, but easily attainable for groups that receive a limited amount of instruction each week.
